You Can Lead A Horse To Water...

...but that doesn't make him a bulldog thrown in a swimming pool.

This photo sums up my November in surprising detail.

Pre Holiday Monday

I've been far too warm and fuzzy lately. Need to balance things out with a little bitterness.

Ahh, much better. Actually, it's looking like another good day, again. Tomorrow is a holiday (if you live in Canada) so traffic was very light this morning. It's beautiful out right now (7:32am). It's going to be hot this afternoon but this morning is just perfect. My iPod was playing an amazing mix on my walk to work. Granted, it's all my music anyway, but you know what I mean. My boss has the day off, I have beer in my fridge AND I'm wearing new underwear (which I took a picture of myself in and texted to Bernadette because ya, that's the kinda stuff I do). Anybody rains on my parade today and I'll decapitate them with my teeth. Have a good one!

Monday

Ya Monday sucks, but if you waked out the door and didn't see one of these this morning, you gotta' put things in perspective.

And Just To Keep The Monday Good Times Rolling...

...my youngest just repeated me saying 'shit' after dropping a ketchup covered plate on the floor. Sigh.

(btw, that's blue and red paint speckles on his head)

I'm On Holiday

Suckas.

Monday! I'm Gonna Kick Your Ass!

Multitasking

Because it's Monday and I'm lazy,

I was never a big believer in multitasking. One of the many realizations of having a kid is that true multitasking is a pipe dream. Watching Ollie and doing anything requiring more concentration than breathing or maintaining a heartbeat is just plain impossible. Conversation with others has become clipped and disjointed as the part of my brain responsible for speech is rerouted to help keep pointy objects out of his reach and remember when he last ate.

Monday

Random thoughts and observations from my walk to Starbucks:

Umbrella's. People who walk under the eaves of buildings even when they are using an umbrella should be shoved into the street. Regardless of age.

There's an apartment building going up across the street from where I work. Walk past this guy this morning smokin a fatty. It's 9:30 in the morning. Hope you're operating something really big like the crane.

Walking behind this guy on the way back who, at first glance, looks like he's got a really pronounced bald spot on the top of his head. Upon closer inspection it's actually a giant and unfortunate looking growth. Swear to god this guy had a testicle growing out of his head.
