Random Tuesday: Fairy Sweat

Random? As I write this it's Monday night and my wife is still at work. I'm sitting at the computer in my underwear eating a bowl of leftover BBQ meat.* That's it, a bowl full of meat. Because I am a man, and that's what we do.

Still here? Alrighty then, I got boobs, contests and cookies. Come on in, take your shoes off.

Another day, another cookie.

This is cool in so many many ways.

I know, right!? Don't go yet, though. There's more.

Ryan over at Pacing the Panic Room is having a Father's Day contest. You take a picture of your wallet and send it to him and you're in for not only a man's but also a woman's wallet. Win-win. I didn't post the picture of the ladies wallet because, as I mentioned above, I'm a man, even though I do appreciate a nice handbag.

Check out what I won.

Kelly at Design Crush had a giveaway that I had planned on mentioning here, but in retrospect, if I had I might not have won. Suckas! Kate Miss is the artist's name and if you're interested in what you didn't win because I didn't tell you about it, she has an etsy shop over here.

Speaking of etsy, Robin at Cinnamon & Honey also has an etsy shop where she sells handmade cards like this one I gave to Supreme Leader for her birthday last week... ish.

My fish loves it. Ok, he's a fighting fish and he just wants to kill it, but he seems really happy about it.

What? Oh, right, boobs.

From Miss Grace and Holly, it's Boob Emancipation. How could I not support a blog like this?

Finally, a big shout out to the state of Utah and all it's wonderful bloggers. Especially the ladies who had the luck of running into Jen from Steenky Bee this weekend. How I envy you. And if you're reading this and don't know who Steenky is, leave the cave for awhile. Seriously, the State Department finally negotiated her release from North Korea and she's back with a vengence.

*I left this in a comment over at Keely's and ended up laughing at myself. Stealing your own work is not plagiarism. It's just being lazy and I'm ok with that.

Random Tuesday: It stings a little at first, but you get used to it

randomtuesday

Oh ya, it's Random Tuesday. Only today it's random people's random thoughts. Arranged randomly.

From MetroDad:
Joe is a young Canadian drummer who began playing in May of 2008. He was 3.5 years old. He has had no lessons and has learned to play entirely by watching drummers on YouTube. He plays at least an hour a day. The kid rocks the sticks like a young Neil Peart. Here he is rocking The Who's "Won't Get Fooled Again."

Check out this kid. They show him playing the whole song, and "Won't Get Fooled Again" is over 8 minutes, so if you don't want to watch the whole thing get the intro when he starts and then skip ahead til around the 6:30 mark.

Must have fridge magnets.

This is so much funnier if you have small children.

Now that I'm painting my house I truly despise wallpaper. But...

And just in case you were wondering, 'random Tuesday' cannot be literally translated into Chinese. Trust me, I asked a room full of Chinese people.

Go to Keely's, join the fun.

No Time For A Title

Before we go anywhere, behold my cookie...

Did you hear the heavenly choir? I did as I was eating it. Of course, the choir kept getting smaller and smaller and their tiny screams were a little distracting, but they were tasty tasty screams...muah ah ah ahhhhh! Eating it was no picnic though. I couldn't wait until we got home so I ate in the car while simultaneously pointing out a large container ship sailing under the bridge we were crossing, breaking up a fight, explaining why I wasn't going to play the music button on my new Star Wars Xmas ornament I have hanging from the rear-view mirror (Imperial shuttle craft-Return of the Jedi), trying to figure out where our exit was through the rain and blowing leaves AND trying to pick up all the little delicious crumbs that had fallen into my lap. Whew. That cookie was work. But so worth it.

And now I realize that I've run out of time because Supreme Leader is probably wondering why she is the only one getting the kids ready to leave the house and will soon call out my name in a tone that does not expect a simple "what?" but the immediate suspension of whatever it is that I'm doing and running, not walking, to her present location. Sigh.

But before I leave, the decorating hijinx of living in a multi-racial home...

This too I shall pay for.
