Aequitas – Veritas*

Ní dhoirtfear fuil neamhchiontach choíche. Ach sruthóidh fuil na n-olc mar abhainn. Leathfaidh an triúr a n-eiteoga dubhaithe agus beidh siad ina chasúr buailte Dé.**

Sweet Jesus, Mary & Joseph! It's been ten years since the Boondock Saints. (Sorry for the age verification.)

*Justice and Truth

**Never shall innocent blood be shed. Yet the blood of the wicked shall flow like a river. The three shall spread their blackened wings and be the vengeful striking hammer of god. (I'm not a religious person, but I can get behind smiting)

PS. I'm over on Pseudonymous High School Teacher Monday. If you've never experience the raw genius of my grilled cheese art, be sure to stop by. I hope to either offend you or make you hungry. Both would be perfect.

  2. Did you see the particular piece of grilled cheese art I used in my scavenger hunt? Most people 'found' that clue!

See you on Monday at Pseudos!

  3. Some people say I am like the vengeful striking hammer of God. Some say I'm a douchebag.

Six of one, half a dozen of the other...

  7. I love The Boondock Saints. I saw the trailer the other day for the new one... I am skeptical, but of course will see it just to make sure.

Sequels always seem to suck. There are very few exceptions...

    Godfather II
    The Road Warrior

I'm sure there are a couple of others I'm not thinking of..it's early. Still.. my point has been made.

How is everything out on the left coast anyway? Miss me out there? Yeah.. didn't think so.

  8. Show off!!! All I can say in Latin is the our father, the our father in Greek (ancient to be exact) and May I go to the bathroom in German and French...how's that for a 4 year classical education? Oh and I'll check you out on Monday - what is it with you overachievers today? First Petra, now you! Ugh!!! (walks of to get some more coffee)

  10. Oooh...Latin AND Gaelic in one post - I AM impressed.

I've never heard of The Boondock Saints...something for me to look up, I think, because the second one looks rather good, and I really don't like watching things out of order.

  14. Boondock Saints is one of my favorite movies but after seeing the trailer and Sean Patrick Flannery my opinion is that men should never have plastic surgery on their face.

  15. OMG. I think I am still drunk. I couldn't read a WORD of that first paragraph.

I know where I will be on Monday!!! And since it is a holiday here, I can have my very own grilled cheese in hand while reading!

  19. I'll pass on the movie (sorry not my thing) but I definitely remember the art that is your grilled mac n cheese sandwich. That was about the time I started reading here. I think I was horrified and fascinated at the same time.

  21. Boondock Saints are back?! My daughter and I will so be there to see it. Where the frick does time go though? Ten years? "The vengeful striking hammer of god." I hope they do a scene at least similar to the one in the original where the only word spoken by Rocco for a while is f%@k over and over.

  22. Yes, but can you actually pronounce it?
I have never even heard of this movie (and no, I have no idea where the hell I've been) so I guess I will have to do some movie watchin' soon, eh?

  23. So I went to IMDB and looked it up and then to Blockbuster and added it to my rental list. Looks right up my alley... thanks!

  26. It was supposed to be JUNE 2005. We have been waiting oh so long... just a little bit more!

  27. I didn't understand one word of that. Except for the words "grilled" and "cheese." Because those are two of my favorite words in the whole world. Of course, the word "fried" edges out the word "grilled" if we're ranking from 1 to 10.
