Day Two!
Last weekend while we were over at the in-laws I happened to be walking past the bathroom when I heard Liam inside talking to himself. The door was wide open, because he's five, and there he stood before the bowl, pants down to his ankles and a grim look of determination on his face. He was taking individual sheets of toilet paper and carefully controlling his stream so he could laser each sheet in half one at a time. I was amused and proud all at once.
Call me old fashioned, but I miss the old days on Twitter when people were just there to amuse one another. Now a days my Twitter stream is clogged with people trying to give me advice or sell me something or trying to get me to click on some random link to something I really wasn't interested in anyway. And what's with people who follow you who haven't even tweeted anything yet? I don't look at my followed or followers as a popularity contest, I want to amuse and be amused, not agravated and annoyed. I feel a great purge coming.
Dog bunny.
Ever heard of a nonillion? That's 1000 x a billion x a billion x a billion, or the estimated number of microbial cells in the world's oceans. Collectively they weigh the equivalent of 240 billion African elephants. Courtesy of the Census of Marine Life.
And... um... ah... look, something shiny!

Twitter drives me crazy for the same reason.I rarely use it because I mostly talk on FB ..
ReplyDeleteHappy Random Tuesday!
My youngest boy would flush the toilet then run from the bathroom screaming, "It's gonna blow". Funniest thing ever!
ReplyDeleteHahaha, Liam! This is why I love boys.
ReplyDeleteWhat about Shama Llama Ding Dong?
ReplyDeleteYou need to say that with a German accent:
ReplyDeleteI *vant* to be amused.....
Ellie
I haven't written anything in like forever on Twitter and I know I follow you. You're going to purge me, aren't you? Oh, God, you've already done it, haven't you!?!?!?!
ReplyDeleteLove the llamas.
ReplyDeleteThat's not the kind of bunny I was looking for. EPIC FAIL!
ReplyDeleteI love your llamas. And Liam cracks me up. I wonder where he learned that from??? Huh???
ReplyDeleteI don't have the attention span for twitter. And I think I'm going to rebel and keep doing the Random Tuesday thing. Even though I really don't have the attention span for that either.
ReplyDeleteUh-oh. Hope I make the purge.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the llamas.
Boys have Dads because Moms just don't get that krappe. LG in the parking lot of Target "Mama, my penis is stuck to my leg." Mama: "uhm, uh, uhm." PB: "Don't respond. If he brings it up again, I'll take care of it." Thank freaking god.
ReplyDeleteLoving the llamas. May have to steal them.
Random thoughts - day 2 (this is getting fun):
ReplyDeleteI recently read that getting 2-3 days of 6 hours sleep or less per night has the equivalent of being up 24 hours straight. By my fuzzy math calculations, that means I've been awake for the equivalent of 2 consecutive years in a row now. I wonder if this if affecting (effecting?) my driving?
Shiny things distract me too!
ReplyDeleteThe cutting of the toilet paper is freaking awesome! Skillz!
Liam is getting pretty far on his Top Ten List of Things To Do With Toilet Paper, very creative!
ReplyDeleteI am exactly the same way about twitter (hive mind, I'm telling you!) I only follow those people who make me laugh or provide me with information that I need (the translink one has indispensable lately)Hence why Sockington and you are my top feeds :)
ReplyDeletehey since he has managed to laser tp....how about this weird new product....and video too!

I feel a big purge coming on Twitter, too - it's not like it used to be...like eBay. ;)
ReplyDeleteI just about choked laughing at Liam's attempt to split toilet paper in half with his pee stream. :)
Llama cartoons = hilarious.
RTT Rebel
I don't get twitter. Therfore, I don't tweet.
ReplyDeleteAnd... I'm also not that amusing. So feel special that I don't follow you there. :)
Hahaha, attaboy, Liam.
ReplyDeleteThose llamas rock!!!
Random Llama Tuesday Happy RTT!
ReplyDeletei missed the shiny thing, but I can relate to aiming for things in the potty....sometimes it can be the highlight of the day to actually MAKE it to the bathroom, let alone the toilet...
ReplyDeleteObama llama. Awesome.
ReplyDeleteI have Twitter columns for people who actually say stuff. Then a column for...the rest.
Call it a strange coincidence, but I just clicked on my unused twitter account for the first time in like three months and was dumbfounded by the posts. I don't get "the Twitter." It's just a bunch of nonsense with no substance. OK I hate it. That's why I never log into it.
ReplyDeleteMaybe I just need to use the tp strategy to control the wild penis that my son claims can't be influenced to pee directly into the toilet bowl.
I hate twitter. But more than that---I really hate people who connect their twitter to their facebook account and I get endless dribble from them. I block them, sometimes I'm sad, but 99% of the time, I miss nothing.
ReplyDeleteHa..the llamas crack me up!!!
My head is spinning from your random.
ReplyDeleteLove the llamas.
Twitter is ok cuz I get to follow Sully, but I get sick of all the ads and crap.
Boys, particularly Liam, at least in this post, are hilarious. :D
I love the dog bunny, that's adorable. The pee thing...that's got to be a boy moment. I mean other than the fact that being a girl, I can't do that with quite the same effect, I would have been more on the end of What are you doing???
ReplyDeleteAnd Twitter, I find myself wondering why on earth I even have an account somedays.
I had a friend who caught her son standing by the bathroom door, trying to pee into the toilet which was several feet away. Gotta love 6 and 7 year old boys!
