Resistance Is Futile

  1. That's funny, because M&Ms are what I'm using to bribe my daughter to go on the potty too...

  2. That is hysterical! You know sooner or later this is gonna be stolen and become a internet sensation!

  3. How much did it cost to get that pose?

  4. I would pee in a potty for M & M's as well!

  5. Have you tried sprinkling a few Cheerios in the bowl for target practice?

  6. That's funny, I think my husband could use a sign like that.... who's your designer?? ;)

  7. LOL! I think after seeing that, I may have to add a "picture of the day" at Text Imps. That's just TOO funny!!

  8. If it weren't for M&Ms, my kids would still be in diapers and I'm not kidding. And their ages are 20, 18, 15, and 14. Thank god for the motivating power of little tablets of candy-coated chocolate.

  9. That's how we trained our kids. Of course we didn't know we could do that in public too.

  10. Please blow up that photo and display it at his wedding...

  11. M & Ms are like the magic bullet of potty training... Though, this does beg the question, what else will he do for M&Ms? Clean his room? Take out the trash?

  12. LOVE IT!! Give him kisses for me! :)

  13. hahahahahaha. We used Sweet tarts with my daughter. But then she was going to the potty to dribble one drop of pee every 10 minutes or so, and I never got any work done...

  14. Toss in a couple of Cheerios to aim for and you'd have my potty training strategy.

  15. I agree with the target practice ideas but honestly you must know that if there are cheerios on the floor...well, they skip across the floor too.. Just sayin'.

But it's still awesome, O Captain, my Captain. Bribery is making a comeback!

  16. He is so ridiculously cute.

Also, he will probably kill you for taking that picture when he is 16 or so. Been nice knowing you.

  17. Is that the exchange rate in Canada on M&M's? Sprite only gets 2 M&M's for pooping in the potty. 1 M&M for peeing. She shall never see this picture, or we may have to move to Canada...

  18. we did m&m's too. works like mmmmagic. ;)

  19. Sounds like a good deal to me. I'd pee in my potty for m+m's too.

Good luck with that. My boy is 5, and while he does pee in the potty, he's a terrible aimer. I'm forever cleaning up splashes on the floor and seat. It's like he's puttin out a bathroom fire with his little hose.

  20. How cute is your kid!
No go send him out there! You can split his loot in the name of proper health and good oral hygiene!

  21. LOL! That's too funny. Maybe that's what we're doing wrong... we're not using M&M's...
I love that sign. You really must blow it up and save it for when he's older ;)

    ReplyDelete
  22. I have the same sign! That is so weird!

    ReplyDelete
  23. I. Love. Him.

and you must save this as blackmail for the teenage years. "Won't clean up after yourself, huh? Remember THE SIGN?"

    Mua-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!

  24. I almost fell off of my chair laughing! Ah, the m&m potty-bribing days are approaching once again! I can't wait 'til we're diaper-free! Darling pic! :)

  25. Adorable! I'll pee in the potty for M&Ms too!

  26. M&M's did not work on my kids. they preferred tormenting me to getting candy prizes.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I think just about every parent uses M&M's as a bribe.
    Cute kid!

  28. That's funny, my littlest has been demanding cash.

Think she was tipped off by her older brother.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Cutest smile ever!! I love the sign. Hopefully the M&M's work.

  30. That is the funniest thing I have ever seen!! : )

  31. Love the picture. Did he take the show on the road with that sign?

    ReplyDelete
  32. Score! that's one for the franchise!

I pee in the potty for beer. Oh, wait, maybe that's because of beer. Whatever ...

  33. Dude, if this worked in my house I would be in happy heaven!

  34. He's going to be a financial genius, or a marketing guru!
I remember when you were 12 you
wanted to be a Gigalo, racing in
    the Great Races of Europe,supported
by a gorgeous "older" Italian woman! The genius "gene" is definately there!

PS Middle Aged Woman has the right idea!
    Is cutest shot ever taken!

PPS has he made any money yet?
    Will it be considered taxable
    income? You must think these
    things through.

  35. I haven't thought about bribing my little girl with M&M's! I'm going to Costco and getting the biggest bag I can lay my hands on! We're going on 6 months now!

    ReplyDelete
  36. That is HYSTERICAL!!!

    i love that damn kid.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Pee-nut M&M's?? Give him a bag right away!

    ReplyDelete
  38. OMG - Sooooo cute!
You know I have two little girls who would love all over those boys of yours.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Ha--that's the funniest pic!! And what mom has not bribed her child with candy to do a basic bodily function in its proper place? Hilarious.

  40. I'm going to need one of these signs very soon...I hope....

    ReplyDelete
  41. Cute :) Can he read? I'm guessing not otherwise he'd have an attitude towards you by now. If he can, the smile is deceiving and you can look fwd to years of therapy for the humiliation, followed by drug addicition or alcoholism. Just sayin'...

    ReplyDelete
  42. What would he do if you gave him a couple of Snickers? Wait...don't tell me.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Oh my god... I love that!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  44. OMG! I have never laughed so hard! That's the most brilliant thing I think I've EVER seen! The smile on his face is what makes the whole photo!

    ReplyDelete
  45. That is funny stuf right there.

    ReplyDelete
  46. What's the going rate for poop? A Baby Ruth bar?

Maybe I could entice my husband to have better aim if I offered him some M&M's.

Best smile I have seen all day!

  47. All you M&M people got off easy! My kids could not be bought- especially for doing #2. I tried everything including matchbox cars. Finally, one day, months after I gave up on him, he just decided that enough was enough and that was the end of it.

  48. Well, hello friend. Missed ya. There's a homeless man around the corner from my office that has a similar sign, except he does VERY different things for M&Ms. He can also stick his foot in his mouth. The whole thing. I saw him do it once. All I had on me was half of a snickers bar and a handful of tootsie rolls. It was so worth it. You should also know that your son is so very much cuter AND he has way more teeth. Missed you.

  49. Okay, so I just went back and read all your coments here. Does Gigalo mean the same thing in the great white north as it does here? Please, please tell me it does. I heart your mom even more now.

  50. I'm just a gigolo and everywhere I go,
People know the part I'm playin'.
Pay for every dance, sellin' each romance,
    ...

  51. I tried M & Ms for my son. didn't work. Nothing worked. The kid was 3 1/2 and still diapers. He was dry in the morning, so I knew he was ready. But he was just too lazy to come in to go pee. FINALLY, one day he said, "Mommy, I'm 4." I said, "you can't be 4. Boys who are 4 don't wear diapers." And that was that.
My younger daughter? I put the potty in the bathroom when she was 23 months. she yelled PEE PEE! and she was trained. I kid you not!
