Last Week's Vacation In The Middle Of This Week's

I've received some complaints today because I haven't posted, but I'm on holiday dammit! Leave me alone. Kidding, I miss you all. I'm at home visiting family and have taken lots of pictures, but this isn't my computer so how about some pictures of last week's trip to Seattle?

America, so welcoming, but the entry requirements are strange and somewhat embarassing. What's with this?

Arriving at the Flight Museum. Connor's head is just about to explode.

Connor and Liam collapse numbed, their heads have already blown off so they're not really sure what to do now.

I was the only one able to look up for this shot and not fall over because of the optical illusion caused by the clouds passing over the Needle.

Supreme Leader overcomes her fear of heights out of love for her children.

But decides it's safer to stay away from the edge.

The boys.

And now I gotta go. We're currently visiting Nana and Grampa in the sprawling metropolis of Barriere, BC. Shopping, casinos, five star dining, don't be jealous. We're going for a hike out in the sticks and I'm holding everybody up. Later peeps.

MAKE SURE YOU STOP BY TOMORROW AND MONDAY!!! More guest posters! More excitement! More! More! More!

  1. Yeah, I don't do heights. And I wouldn't let my husband take the kids up there either. My guess is she didn't trust you to do it alone.

What are you feeding Connor? Holy crap that kid is getting tall.

How was the speed hump? Were there border guards watching? I thought America was founded by Puritans.

  4. I'm with Supreme Leader. You could not pay me to go up the Space Needle. Looks like you guys had fun.

Speed humps are what we do for fun here.

  5. I'm not a fan of heights, but the space needle wasn't terrible for me. I loved that the McDonald's has a big "M" on the roof for you to look down upon. At first, I was all, "Clever", than I thought, "No, evil. That's pandering to the children." Then 20 minutes later I was over there eating a cheesburger. Turns out Hank saw the golden arches too. Wow. It must me such a treat for you to come to the states where we have roads and McDonalds and stuff. Make sure you go on the Ducks tour and see the Houseboat from Sleepless in Seattle. You won't care, but it will score you major points with Supreme Leader. Sorry I kind of bullied you into posting again.

  12. Hey! Glad you made it stateside, as it were. Great pics. You know, my beautiful wife (Julia) and I live very near Seattle, so next time you come down, she's offered to make authentic German Schnitzel mit Pommes for you. With coffee. Lots and lots of our best seattle coffee.

    :D

  14. Doesn't it cost like $50 bucks each or something to go up to the top of the space needle. Like a true faux native, I have not been up top since the first time I liked there, when my age was in the single digits. (lived there twice. third times the charm, baby.)

  15. Okay, yeah, I'm with Supreme Leader on that one - not a fan of heights myself.

Looks like you had such an awesome time!

  16. Everywhere we went it cost $40 even with Liam as the freebee. That was a little weird.

  17. I totally LOVE Seattle and have visited there MANY a time! I have that very same "Welcome to America" picture...and boy was I glad to get back! It is difficult to know your speed in kilometers when they make those kilometer lines on the speedometer so small.
