RTT: Happiness

Connor: Are my cheeks pink? That means I'm cute

randomtuesday

Friday afternoon Connor came down with flu and Sunday night was Liam's turn. What happens when your four year old pukes all over the sofa? Improvise, Adapt and Overcome.

The rear seats of a Dodge Caravan are the same size as a love seat. I am the Marine Corps of daddies. Hoo-rah!

Nostradamus and 2012. Swear to god if you bring that Russian up in conversation anywhere near me and I'll gut you with something rusty.

Supreme Leader: What do you want for lunch?
Connor: Roast beef
Supreme Leader: PBJ?

RAINFALL WARNING: Greater Vancouver
WIND WARNING: Greater Vancouver

Thanks, El NiƱo.

I was lucky enough to go shopping with both my mother and father-in-law last Sunday. They argue over everything they put in the cart. Every. Single. Thing.

Does anybody remember 1981's Clash of the Titans?

Keely's is that way.

Connor seems to be on the road to recovery. Don't know if his fever has finally broken, but we were up last night at around 2 looking for an apple because he woke up hungry and wanted one. Hopefully the exit door is finally taking a break and we can get the entrance back open. It's been four hours and the apple is still on the inside.

Back To Work

And going back sick. The whole house is sick now, but on the bright side, it held off until the very end of my holiday. As did the crappy weather. Most of it was pretty sunny. Got a lot of work done around the house and in the garden, got to spend lots of time with the boys, and time away from work. All and all, pretty good.

Oh, and what was the surprise for Bernadette? New lights. Updated the lights in the kitchen, dinning room and two bathrooms from their late '70's glory. We're not ready for Better Homes and Garden's yet, but we're on our way.

(PS. Another image I pulled weeks ago and forgot to note where I'd gotten it. Oops.)

Enjoying My Vacation

My soul has been taken over by an ancient and evil spirit-walking shaman bent on chaos and destruction. Or I have my son's cold. Either way it looks something like this:

And this isn't Man Cold whining, I'm really dying. Really.

The Weather And My Lower Gastric Tract

Things I've consumed today:

1. Three cups of coffee.
2. Left over chicken and mushroom congee.
3. Raspberry Activa.
4. A crumb of bran muffin that fell out of Liam's mouth when I was feeding him.

One, all, or a combination of these things are trying to kill me this morning. As I sit here (uncomfortably) watching an airborn parade of leaves, trees, cows and small fishing boats fly past my back window and muse on the parallels in my own stomach...

Hold that thought.
