Beans have eyes but you can't see them- Liam
Spiders don't hurt they're trying to help
Bees are helping too just watch your fingers
Fish plant beans but they're seaweed beans
Everyone plants beans, everything plants beans
Don't worry about rose bushes, just don't touch them

Kid's more right than he may realize. Great picture, great poem.
ReplyDeleteBeans. Who knew? I'd like to talk to the fish about the seaweed beans :)
Bravo, Liam!
that poem frickin rocks, like making the kessel run in 12 parsecs, just watch all the beans, the methane gas production could destabilize the bee population ultimately destroying all known life
ReplyDeleteI wish that only my fingers were nervous about the bees....
ReplyDeleteGenius.
ReplyDeleteBut I am a little disappointed there's no mention of them being the "magical fruit, the more you eat the more you..." well, you know the rest. :)
Somehow, the 'help' that spiders provide never occurs to me when I am sprinting away from them.
ReplyDeleteThat is a terrific poem, of which I can relate to since beans are one of my favorite foods. Not seaweed beans but all the others.
ReplyDeleteSwoon.
ReplyDeleteEllie
What do you think is the last thing a bean sees? And do you think fish have good recipes for their beans? Wake the kid up, I want to know.
ReplyDeleteAnd we all know beans are good for the heart. Nice work, Liam.
ReplyDeleteTrying really hard not to burst out laughing! How freaking adorable is that kid?!
ReplyDeleteI love the picture (and the bedding) and that poem is great.
ReplyDelete"Spiders don't hurt they're trying to help" - love that line!
ReplyDeleteGreat job, Liam!
Very good job Liam!! Maybe next time he can write my next post? You know when my brain turns all mush like it tends to do...
ReplyDeleteI guess I never really thought about what fish put in their gardens...until now, and luckily the answer has been provided! A well deserved nap! So cute...so funny! :)
ReplyDeleteThe depth of the passage is amazing. Yes, watch your fingers around bees.
ReplyDeleteVery poetic! What's even better is that I could understand it. I know what he means about the bees. I was stung by eight of them when I sat on their nest and it wasn't in the finger! Great going, Liam! Love the photo, too.
ReplyDeleteI've always loved my children the most when they are sleeping....
ReplyDeleteAaaaw how sweet! The pic and the poem are both just wonderful. :D
ReplyDeleteAaaah, beautiful sleeping child. How I like kids best!
ReplyDeletebrilliant...one of my favorite simpson episodes, bart is writing "beans are neither fruit nor magical" on the black board! is he really asleep, or did you have to glue his eyes shut and nail him to the bed so it would look that way?
ReplyDeleteYou can just SEE the genes....
ReplyDeleteOh, btw, I'm kickin' your ass all over blogland mwwaahhaaaaaaa!!!!!!!

Aww, that's cute. And he looks like a little angel (remember that face next time he superglues his fingers together or takes the brillo pad to the side of the car)
ReplyDeleteCool beans! What a great poem. And I guess he got all tuckered out from planting all them beans. Such a cutie!
ReplyDeleteHow did I get to be as old as I am, and not know that beans have eyes. This is why I have the internet.
ReplyDeleteCap'n:
ReplyDeleteLiam's adorable. I like Bella Sinclair's comment, "Cool beans!"
Brian is correct. The poem " frickin'rocks".
I love how it's partially a cautionary tale. I'm casting my vote for a weekly feature from Liam.
ReplyDeleteI could ramble off the name of a few poets I was forced to study who sucked ass compared to Liam's poetry. Love that kid....
ReplyDeleteand what is this http://wordgirl5.typepad.com login shit I'm being prompted with on your site?
ReplyDeleteAwwww....
ReplyDeletelove that absolutely refreshing poem!
