Hey. You. Ya, you with the hair. Go back to the video and watch a bit. Just watch the first little bit. Or skip ahead to about 3:45 and watch from there. Really, you'll enjoy it. If you don't, I'll give you your money back.
Heh heh.
Ernie and Bert if Picasso had drawn them.
Occasionally they don't fight.
File this under "the world is just awesome."
See all those brown spots and the grey spots underneath them? They're manta rays. Seriously. click on the picture. From German photographer Florian Schulz:
"During an aerial expedition over the coast of Baja California Sur, I came across something I had never seen before. Not even my pilot, who has surveyed this area for 20 years, had seen anything like it. As we glided high above over the water looking for whales, a large dark spot caught our attention. As we got closer we started to discover its nature: an unprecedented congregation of rays. The group was as thick as it was wide, all heading towards the same direction. I have asked around why this took place but no one has been able to explain it to me. After such a unique sighting, I realise there are so many marvels in the oceans that we are yet to understand. Our knowledge of the oceans is so limited; I just hope that we are in time to rescue it before it collapses from pollution and over fishing."
Yesterday, on the ZNN, a blog I share with Middle Aged Woman from Unmitigated, Jenni of Oscarelli commented that:
"you should do a post comparing newborns to zombies. there are ample similarities. babies are cuter, duh, but both are slow moving and suck the life out of you."
She might have something there. If this kid had teeth he'd have gnawed my arm off.
Speaking of zombies, check out The Un Mom for more Random Tuesday fun.
We both mentioned Picasso in an RTT. That's effin weird.
ReplyDeletehaha. cute pic...the teeth will come...and sleep deprivation will still get ur brainz...
ReplyDeleteLove the Bert and Ernie painting. Those are some cute kids you got there.
ReplyDeleteVery cool vid.
ReplyDeleteAnd yup. Nature did us a huge favor by not allowing humans to be born with a full set of teeth.
workin' my way backwards, I say "kids suck the life out of you...and leave an empty shell." I'm just starting to get back some life now that #2 is out of the house, again!
ReplyDeleteManta ray photo is phenomenal. Imagine capturing this. It's once in a lifetime.
Your boys are really adorable.
Bert & Ernie: hahahahaha!
Finally, the techno pop dance sequence; I actually liked it. I watched about half, then moved to 3:45 and I see what you mean. But it's compelling in it's weird way.
Need to send you the shirt my friend has.....
ReplyDeleteI love to give homemade gifts. Which one of my kids do you want.
or her fav....
Boys
Im
Taking
Charge
Here......well maybe supreme being would want that one.
I'm loving the Bert and Ernie. . .
ReplyDeleteEveryone's a performer these days what with YouTube et al. I really love the Bert and Ernie painting! Your boys, all of them, continue to be so adorble.
ReplyDeleteWow newborns (and all kids) are like Zombies, they do totally suck the life out of you. Never thought about that similarity before. That manta ray thing is very cool. I wonder what they were all doing?
ReplyDeleteThat sure was random. I feel like I went on a trip and now I'm back.
ReplyDeleteThose kids get cuter every day!
ReplyDeleteOk, now I'm going back to watch the video.
I promise!
OK, that video was really cool!!!
ReplyDeleteSmall, tiny zombies are MUCH cuter! And that is one cute small human! Love the picture of the boys...they are getting SO BIG!
ReplyDeleteZombies and babies...I knew it!
ReplyDeleteThat video was actually pretty cool! The heartbeat / fluttery hands things was completely freaky, but I loved it! lol!
Kids that don't fight...wow..I thought that was an urban legend...
Bert and Ernie rock...
My older sister was born with a few teeth. I'm amazed my mother agreed to have more after her.
ReplyDeleteCan you imagine jumping into that fray?
ReplyDeleteZNN! Following! Zombies are a very real threat and when they come my brothers and I will be ready. We have to start training my husband though.
ReplyDeleteIf zombies really looked like Finn, we'd be in big trouble. Powerless against the cute.
ReplyDeleteVery cool photo, but also a little creepy. Nature, man.
Do you think the rays all saw the plane, got together and said, "Let's screw with their minds, he, he, he."?
ReplyDeleteAnd face it, if he gnawed your arm off, as he got closer to your face you'd say, "Awww, come here for a kiss, Finn!"
babies and zombies...lol you are funny
ReplyDeleteCute kids can be forgiven. Zombies, not so much. However, you don't have to change zombies, just kill them. So, there's that too.
ReplyDeleteVideo - Can I get a partial refund?
ReplyDeleteB/E - I like how Ernie is licking his own nose - good stuff.
Fight - They both seem distracted - that seems to be the key...keep 'em distracted!
Rays - WOW!!!
Babies Vs. Zombies - Sounds like a Blockbuster HIT!!!
Every blog is made better with zombies and Asian women.
ReplyDeleteMy neighbor's baby started getting teeth at 4 months. Once he could really bite she would get these huge bruises on her arms from his chomping. It was brutal.
ReplyDeleteThose rays are crazy - I thought that was a coral reef for something.
Mickey Finn won't be a very good zombie, until you redirect him to the general location of the brains...maybe he want to enjoy the bone marrow first? Like a daddy appetizer.
ReplyDeleteThat Manta Ray picture looks a little freaky. Like something out of some science fiction movie! It's as if they're "running away from something"!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteGodzilla perhaps? Or maybe a huge oil spill...
Your posts are far between (for me) but they never disappoint. That shot of the mantas was awesome! My wife is a diver and would loved to have been there for that!
ReplyDeleteCute kid, too!
Are those manta rays, or are those....
ReplyDeletePIRANHAS!! IN 3-D!!!! GET OUT OF THE WATER!!!!
Just saying.
Babies to Zombies. Yes. I wrote a post once comparing my students to zombies, that was just too easy.
Seriously, the baby pictures slay me every week. He just gets cuter and cuter.
ReplyDeleteLove the Picasso! Where did you find that?
That picture of the manta rays is amazing!
ReplyDeleteHappy RTT!!
I don't know what I love more, the Japanese guys -- especially when they're, um, running -- the manta rays, your boys or B&E.
ReplyDeleteThis would be like 6 blogposts for me.
Okay, okay, I love the Japanese guys the most. After your boys.
Ellie
You called me on skipping the video. I'm so glad because that was completely freaking AWESOME!
ReplyDeleteThe rays - and the quote - completely mind blowing. Nature is so cool.
Those boys are pretty awesome too. Even the little zombie.
Your random thoughts are THE BEST!!!
ReplyDeleteThat video was cool. I'm stealing it.
The picture of Finn takes me back to when my youngest was teething. He would just sit and gnaw on my bent finger for hours. It was his favorite hobby and didn't bother me too much until those first teeth came in. Then it was ouchy for mommy! Great post! :)
ReplyDeleteAwwww...I love cute zombie babies!
ReplyDeleteAnd I swear I tried to watch the slow motion dancing japanese people video but it wouldn't load properly.
That video is AWESOME! AWESOMMMMMMMME! All I kept thinking was man, they must have rock hard thighs!
ReplyDeleteHehehehehe, brainzzzzzzzzz. Whuh? Got mine sucked out long ago.
That was just the heapin' helping of random I needed...'cause I'm a day late and a buck short.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the brain fizz!
P.S.: That Finn is just too dang cute. Wow.
It's like Burning Man, but for manta rays.
ReplyDeleteRays = Awesome
ReplyDeleteZombie baby = cute.
Picaso Bert and Ernie = Which is Bert again?
I think all those manta rays were just seen exiting a UT football game.
ReplyDeleteP.S. I think you might have an adorable child.
ReplyDeleteThe manta rays are INCREDIBLE.
ReplyDeleteand so is that miniature snarling adorable creature on your lap.
I dive, and would let your latest spawn gnaw off my arm to see one, let alone hundreds.
ReplyDeleteThe manta rays look incredible. Bet their young don't eat their parents' thumbs.
ReplyDeleteLoved the video.
ReplyDeleteThe manta ray picture was awesome!!! I think the boys weren't fighting cause their backs are to each other LOL!!!
ReplyDeleteThat picture of the manta rays? Completely awesome. Nature still never ceases to amaze and I'm glad. At least there a few times in this jaded world we can be surprised and overjoyed.
ReplyDeleteOk, I'll give it to you, the video was pretty entertaining. I wasn't going to watch it. The photo of the manta rays is really cool. Very interesting. Try not to let the baby suck the life out of you. You have a blog to keep up.
ReplyDeleteGotta love the Japanese. I don't know where you find this stuff but it is always entertaining.
