Same As It Ever Was, Same As It Ever Was...

So Canada had an election yesterday. It cost tax payers $290 million dollars and we ended up with exact same minority government as we had the day before. The morning started out pretty dim as I had to vote for somebody but none of them deserve the office. But then the post man...er, person arrived with a big fat envelope post marked Texas! Stacy from Apathy Lounge sent me an Obama/Biden sign! With high hopes I taped the sign up in my window hoping maybe I could change a few voters' minds.

I didn't have anything to stick in the front yard which is too bad, cause that would have looked cool. Then again, some punk ass kid would have stole it anyway.

Sadly it was all for naught. Obama failed to pick up a single seat. For that matter, neither did McCain. Guess we're stuck with our own idiots.

  1. If you run out of idiots, let me know. We have a ton of them below the fold.

  2. Someone stole my Obama sign too. But not the McCain one, odd. I had the two signs duking it out on my front lawn. And since the media had written McCain off, I had Obama's sign taller than McCain's.
Rude punks. Ruining my political mockery.

  5. Just realized "it was all for naught" was at the tail end of your post. Do we Canucks say that too much?

  7. Odd.

    I like odd.

  9. Thanks for supporting your Yankee neighbors in the basement. Is that what Canadian's call America? The basement of Canada? That would be awesome.

Somehow I don't think Canadian politics are as sexy as American Politics. Do you have a MILF running for anything? A crankyo old white guy with torture arms? (sorry, that was kind of rude) But do you?

  10. Check out Belinda Stronach, she's not a mom, but she's MILFy. Oh, and we have had a female leader of our country, and she totally posed for a nude photo. How's that?

  13. oooh your house is sooo cute!!! Yeah, I said it.

Well, heck you did more than me - I can't vote because neither candidate gives me that "WOW! He'll be a great president!" feeling

  14. So, of course I had to Google Justin Trudeau. And dang. That will be one sexy PM one day.

Sorry about your election. That's disheartening. It feels the same way here sometimes. If the economy wasn't in the crapper right now, our election would be a lot less interesting.

  15. Wow.

    Talking Head lyrical references.

I think you are my new best friend.

But, um, THANKS. Now that's going to run through my head all day and I left the iPod in the car so I can't wipe it out!

  21. I worked like a MADWOMAN last week and have been a lousy blogfriend. I thank you so much for the generous pimping of my blog (and of my favorite political candidate). Would that they let Canadians vote in our election! We'd love your input!
