How does a family of Star Wars geeks pimp their mini-van?

This vehicle stops for Death Stars.

So what the hell? I miss a couple weeks of Random Tuesday and not only does Keely totally redecorate but she doesn't even have a button...

(short pause while I go over to her site to copy her URL)

Oh... er...

randomtuesday

Heh heh. Oh look, a cookie.

So I'm starting my fourth week of training in my new job, which means I only have two more weeks before I'm thrown to the wolves. Remember when I was laughing it up about free coffee and BBQ's and having two monitors for my computer? Ya, well, I spent last Friday sitting in with someone and watching what I'm actually expected to be doing in a few weeks. Mommy.

Remember Alien?

This is just plain creepy.

During the last couple of shifts at my old job they started playing Justin Bieber as a part of some promotion. I know, I should have taken it to a human rights tribunal, right? Anyway, to add insult to injury, once they'd finished playing his CD a criminal amount of times, they started playing something equally as abusive. It sounded like one of those damn music compilations like the Mini-Pops where they get normal kids singing popular music and butchering it horrifically. Turned out it was actually Glee. Now don't get me wrong, I started watching the show with Supreme Leader last season and I love it. But take those songs out of the context of the show and things get ugly.

**Attention: the views mentioned above do not reflect the opinions of the entire Us & Them household, one of whom has downloaded every damn song into their iTunes library.**

Catch a Hobbit.

Because some of you like cats...

***Pretty sure I got the cat of Chibijeebs.

  2. I freakin love Justin Bieber. We play his music on the cd at work and I could not be HAPPIER! But I agree with the Glee music. I always fast forward through the songs on the show, which probably somewhat defeats the purpose, but whatever...

  3. Justin Bieber needs a haircut. We saw Inception at the Giant IMAX screen where I work about a week ago. Did you know the music for Inception was based on the Edith Piaf song they use as a signal? "Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien." Only slowed down 200 times. Just makes me love the music even more...

  4. That baby thing is freaky. Why would you do that? WHY?
The decals are awesome. The new button is...still weird.

  5. Love the minivan decals...you rock Captain!
If I ever saw someone in public wearing one of those alien-baby-shirts....I think I'd have a bladder accident from laughing.

  6. I love the little hair bow on the female stormtrooper decal but that alien-like shirt, I don't think so. The cat is either scared to death or planning something heavy duty... I can see it in his eyes.

  7. Love the cat video. I posted a cat video also, sans the great music. What was I thinking?

  8. Love the Storm troopers... I may need to get some. -J

  11. I love the decals. I'm not a Star Wars gal, so to speak, but I really hate those stick-figure ones. Because I'm judgey.

And that cat video is TERRIFYING.

  12. The stormtrooper decals? SWEET.
    The alien baby shirt? Nightmarish.
I feel karmically balanced after seeing them both at the same time.
Not yet sure how the at video will affect that.

  13. Those Star Wars decals are awesome! May the Force be with you.

That baby carrier is truly creepy...

Good luck on your last two weeks of training...hope you're ready for the wolves! ;)

  14. I'm still not entirely sure who Justin Bieber is (singer? actor? just has strange hair?), but somehow know that I do not like him or what he does.

The stick figure decals always induce a gag, but I'm mildly amused by the Storm Troopers.

Wow, I'm in a foul mood. I'll be nicer next time, I promise.

  15. Those trooper decals are great! lol That 'alien' pic is really creepy. Now I want an Oreo. I never knew you could eat them with a fork. Justin.Bieber.must.die.

Ok, I feel better now, thank you.

    Have a great Random Tuesday!

  16. At first I thought the new green badge on the right sidebar said "The Versatile Booger", but then I read again and was disappointed.

  17. I love the Star Wars helmets. Where in the world did you get those?

The baby thing...well, I saw on another blog decapitated doll babies..just saying, maybe that's related...

    Happy RTT!

  18. loving the van.... way cool ;)

  19. That Alien shirt is just spooky, and what happens when the baby wants to stretch and all you see is writhing bumps? *Shudder*

I loved the hobbit story! Once again, I must forward your random Tuesday madness to my offspring.

  20. My husband and I call those "family" sticker people put on the backs of their vans douchebag stickers (especially when they include pets, but not children), but the Storm Trooper stickers are not nearly as obnoxious. Also, I think that baby carrier looks more like Kuato from Total Recall.

  21. Whose kid is willing to be in that thing? Mine would claw his way out.

Ugh, I remember the bad in store promos from my days of Barnes and Noble. I still can't listen to Norah Jones.

  22. Love the pimped out minivan!!!

I hope you stand up to the abuse soon - ya know...before your ears start bleeding from the Bieber.

  23. Justin Bieber?? Cruel and unusual, man.

Going off to get me some of those decals RIGHT NOW.

(Or I could make some here at work. But I've been afflicted with teh Lazy.)

  24. That cat video was seriously one of the funniest things I have seen all week.

  25. Love the stormtroopers, but as a Battlestar fan, I'd have to have some cylons. And the cat is scary!

    ReplyDelete
  26. That's how my cat behaves just before he launches an attack.

  27. I hope the rest of the training goes well. Free coffee sounds good ;)

  28. Those storm troopers decals. There are no words. Other then - I.Want.

That hobbit story? I saw it the other day. Laughed my ass off.

    Good luck with the wolves!

Oh - and my 7yr old son is obsessed with Bieber. *shudder*

  29. I've never downloaded the Glee versions but I'd think they'd be great. Huh.
PS- God I love me some Oreos and milk.

  30. Where on Earth do you find these random random things?? Goodness.
I agree, alien baby is freaky.
    I love Glee.
    Bieber makes me puke.
    Star Wars, as always, rocks.
...and what the hell is wrong with that cat?!

  31. I hear they are successful halting those Somali pirates by blasting them with Bieber.

    ReplyDelete
  32. That's 1 minute 8 seconds of my life I'll never get back.

  33. that photo is just plain creepy.....omgoodness so Aliens and the video...lord help me LOL

  34. I am glad to say that I would not know a Justin Beber song if it landed on my front porch carrying a cat and singing Don't Stop Believing.

All right that made not one bit of sense.

Tread lightly. We Gleeks are very protective of our "show."

  35. Cannot wait to receive my own set of Stormtrooper decals. AWESOME!

Our area has the 501st Legion of Stormtroopers, a group of very serious reenactors who appear at Star Wars author signings and other events. A few dozen came to the last Timothy Zahn appearance, and it was sort of eerie. You can check them out at http://www.cloudcitygarrison.com/

  39. ROTFLMAO....that kitty is creepy but hilarious - the music is so dead on perfect....Hey, I assume you saw my storm trooper photo on the video...Irish Gumbo pointed it out to me that you probably did a back flip when you saw that. Well, did ya???

  40. and yeah...the hobbit story is ONE FOR THE AGES....it makes me shriek with laughter every time i read it..i maybe so friggin politically incorrect, I am sorry, but some things are funny....

  41. Dude I think I am going to have nightmares of that cat. I could use him a work though.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I'm glad that cat did not jump into the camera or yowl loudly. I'd have spilled my hot tea. I was nervously waiting for that.

love the alien baby & decals too.

    ReplyDelete
  43. The little one is stuck right in the middle of two food sources! lol

    ReplyDelete
  44. I hate Bieber AND Glee. I know, everybody likes Glee. I DON'T. I guess that makes me a misanthrope.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Love the Star Wars thing.

Also love the alien baby thing... although... I wouldn't wear it.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Decals = a must have.

    Alien baby = creepy.

    Job = Sorry man.

    Cat = hilarious.

Bieber = Never have heard one his songs. Thankfully.

  47. Love the decals, That shirt is the creepiest thing ever!!!!! I kept waiting for the cat to jump....
My kids hate Justin Bieber, they do love watching the viseo of him getting pegged in the head with a water bottle though!!!

  48. I've seen that weird baby hole shirt before. I've seen some pretty lame stuff in my suburban neighborhood (just yesterday I saw "baby bling" - a necklace/teether monstrocity) but never a baby face peeking out of a poncho.

I guess I should see inception - didn't get that cat thing at all. And it scared the hell out of my five year old.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I think I would like the baby shirt if it were designed for twins, though. Now, that would really freak people put!

    ReplyDelete
  50. Ha! I hate those family car stickers, but with Stormtroopers I might just be okay with it.
I want to see zombie ones next.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Love the Storm Troopers! We have two classic rainbow Apple computer stickers and two smaller white Apple stickers on our car.

  52. I watched that whole freakin' Inception Cat waiting for something to happen. That thing seriously has over 2 million hits?

Why am I spending so much time blogging? I need to be posting on You Tube.

    Thanks for sharing!

  53. Love the mini-van. Hate Justin what's his name.
Laughed like a lunatic at the baby peeking out of his mom's shirt. Read your sister's Hobbit post and laughed so hard I scared the dog.
