Throwing In The Towel

You know what? Let's call this a week. I could make another excuse for a lame post, but I'm too lazy even for that. I think I just ran out of juice this week. Juice and time. I need a personal assistant. A morally flexible personal assistant. No, not in that way. Just someone who's comfortable with a knee capping and the occasional murder. Oh, and they should be good with kids. And make good coffee.

I posted a... post back in January on tilt shift photography. This is the same thing, only in video.

I wrote a new story on the other site, so I guess I accomplished something this week.

Freaky video, though. That really plays with your head. Liked the helicopter a lot.

  4. If you find that morally flexible personal assistant, let me know. I am in the market for one of those myself.

  5. I'm a little tired as well Capt.
Try adding grapefruit juice to your gin......it does wonders.
See, I tell my self that it's both delicious AND nutricious. At least that's what I tell myself....
    Get some rest and........

  9. That so cool...I love that they all look like little toys.

I got up at 4:00 this morning bc I haven't posted since Monday. So far I've got a lot of drivel about monkies and a drunk guy in a bar. Which do you think I should go with? They are both uber impressive.

    Not.

  11. I've been feeling that way myself lately... I blame the weather. ;)

  12. It would also help if your assistant could make grilled cheese men.

  13. Do you have an application I could fill out? I have references. Well, most of them are dead now, but there's a few still living.

  14. Very nice video...

and I'll totally be your assistant. See, I just made it easy for you.. I knew you were just afraid to ask. ;)

  15. Stiletto Mom woke up at 4am, yes, but was she wearing her stiletto's?

Ironic posting this video of the beach. I think our energy comes in waves. I'm riding a big one now but isn't it usually when you admit it openly that you crash?

    Heh.

    Happy Friday, Captain and company!

  17. Very cool video.

Did you tell SL that you need a personal assistant? Because I thought I could hear some distant laughter this morning.

  18. Um, CPM, I hate to tell you this, but that's MY job. I asked first. So, phhbbbttt!

  19. Wanna hear something weird? Last night I was trying to describe this type of photography because I had seen it on your blog a while back but couldn't remember whose blog it was, and I couldn't find it to illustrate what I was talking about! And voila!

I think yours was the first blog I ever read, and also the first I ever commented on after one of your posts persuaded me to come out of the shadows. I should have known to check here.

  20. wow that is cool! Go have a beer on me!

  22. U have green grass and flowers coming up, I have no sympathy.
Try not to sob hysterically when
you drop your sister and bro-in-law
at the airport on their way South.

If I win that 48 million, you can have your assistant!

  23. How is it that I never saw this Vimeo before? It's fascinating? As for the lack of inspiration? I get ya. It comes and it goes.

  29. I need an assistant too. Let me know if you find someone good and we can split days.

    ReplyDelete
  30. yeahh, i am wanting that morally ambiguous personal assistant too (that or one of traditional "wife/secretary" things who used to do it ALL) Wouldn't that be good? we could all step off the ride, as you posted on IG's blog, and watch, and then our personal assistants could take care of the things that had to be addressed as we sipped our frosty brews...sigh...

  31. I make awesome coffee. Well, me and my Cuisinart. I met my husband by kicking his roommate in the knee at a club because I thought he was "cute". I have no problem with knee caps. I'm good with kids if I don't have to potty train them.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Doh, I meant shin....I kicked him in the shin, not the knee.

Come on, sailor. I love you long time.
